A. When are taxes due?

Summer tax bills are mailed at the end of June and are due September 14 and winter bills are mailed at the end of November and are due February 14.


B. Where can I register to vote?

You can register to vote when you change your driver's license at the Secretary of Sate Office, at the County Clerk's Office, or at the Weldon Township Office.


C. Who do I contact if I want to do any building?

D. When are township clean-up days?

Clean-up days are held each year on the third Saturday in both May and September from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Watch the Upcoming Events section on the Home page for more details each year.


E. Where do I recycle within the township?

There is a recycling site at the DPW (Department of Public Works) at 7458 Michigan Avenue in Thompsonville.

There are several committee/boards to inquire about such as the Planning Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals, Board of Review, and Election Inspectors. Contact the Weldon Township Clerk at 231-378-2477 or via email for more information:


G. If I buy property, how are the taxes effected?

The taxable value would go to the State Equalized Value for the year after the sale. Then it would be capped at the Consumer Price Index figure for the following years. For more information contact the Township Assessor. See our Contact Us page for their contact information.

H. How much is my water bill and/or how do I pay it?
